Volunteer Information
In order to protect the best interests of our volunteers, clients and staff the Diocesan Office of Long Term Recovery will not be housing volunteers during the hurricane season (June 1, 2009 through November 30, 2009).
Volunteers Are Desperately Needed!
How You Can Help
Volunteers are still desperately needed in the hurricane devastated area! Both skilled and unskilled workers are welcomed. Just a few areas where help is needed include:
-
Carpenters
- Plumbers
- Cleanup
- Drywall
- Tile Work
- Electricians
- Painters
- Loading and Unloading
If you have time, talent, a big heart and are willing to work hard, please contact the Diocesan Office of Long Term Recovery today! YOU can help make a difference as we Move Forward Together in Christ!
Please understand that you do not HAVE to be skilled to come and you do not HAVE to come with a group. Many individuals have volunteered, and with one phone conversation, we can figure out the best way to use your skills to benefit those devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
